ABOUT

JESSE MCCOY

Musician - Producer - Engineer

Jesse McCoy has been writing, recording, and producing his own music for 15+ years.  From the fringes of punk rock to commercial production music for tv/film and everything in between, McCoy’s work can be considered a testament to the power of individual exploration, DIY dedication, and the pursuit of creative authenticity. His well-rounded skill set, combined with his knack for arranging and production, has positioned him as a valuable asset for projects seeking a dynamic and distinctive sonic identity. Jesse's commitment to preserving the spirit of punk and alternative music while pushing creative boundaries also makes him a great choice for indie artists looking to capture their ideas in a stripped-down, comfortable environment with an individual who is a fan… not a businessman. His approach to recording, characterized by a low-budget but high-quality ethos, yields music that possesses a raw and powerful edge.

The Birth of "BEDFIRES"

In 2015, Jesse emerged as the musical force behind "Bedfires" a moniker under which he would embark on a prolific journey into music production and publication. This path led him to diverse opportunities with his works featured in TV, film, podcasts, YouTube channels, and various other digital platforms. "Bedfires" has garnered attention from music supervisors, libraries and other content creators for its unapologetic fusion of punk, alternative, and industrial elements. Jesse's versatility and adaptability as a producer shines through his ability to masterfully weave his experience as a punk rock musician into his production process, creating soundscapes that resonate within the discontent and edge of countercultural genres of music.

BEDFIRES HOUSE

At the heart of Jesse's creative endeavors lies "Bedfires House", his home studio in Pueblo, Co. Here, he and his Fiance Nikki open their doors to fellow musicians, offering a space where bands and songwriters can capture their ideas in a comfortable home environment. Taking inspiration from unconventional house studios like Rancho De La Luna and Inner Ear Studios, this collaborative hub reflects Jesse's commitment to nurturing artistic connections and helping others realize their sonic visions without the pressures of expensive hourly studio time.
